Winter 2006 Reflection
As the light emerges and comes into winter (the winter solstice), we open
to the holiday season of celebrating diverse “holy days” from
different spiritual traditions in order to prepare for the blessings and
learnings of the new year. Families gather, as we pause from work
schedules, to experience and re-connect to the season of love and
generosity. It is also a time for reflection-reviewing our year and
preparing and setting goals for imagining new possibilities for the new
year. Hope and anticipation of starting anew in the new year, offers us
ways to regenerate and open to the blessings that await us.

Monthly
Practice:
 | Each
year from Thanksgiving through the holidays to the New Year, we are
given unlimited opportunities to connect with friends, colleagues, and
families in new ways and open to possibilities of increased closeness,
forgiveness, and happiness. Notice the progress you have made from
last year to this year. What has changed within you this year? How
have you strengthened, softened, opened and deepened this year?
|
 | What
is deeply meaningful for you during this holiday season? And what
provides a sense of comfort, solace, and peace for you that touches
you spiritually?
|
 | What
specific hopes, dreams, and possibilities do you see for yourself and
loved ones in the new year?
Happy Holidays and
New Year filled with abundant blessings!
